Christopher Rothoff

Chris Rothoff is the Program Director for the LifeLink CORE operations inside the prison facilities. Chris, having experienced the challenges of addiction and incarceration, and more importantly having successfully overcome those challenges, puts him in a unique position to understand and effectively manage the day-to-day activities inside the prison walls. Chris has a unique gift for communicating and managing the daily interactions with the students, staff and volunteer instructors.

It isn’t often you find a person who commands the respect and trust of those who he once was numbered among, however, the righteous manner in which he conducts himself in their presence has earned him that recognition. Chris and his wife serve relentlessly and with great joy in many areas of outreach for their church and community. Chris’s life experiences, post-secondary education and work ethic serves him well in his staff position and as a role model to all who know him and to those he is assigned to serve.

Nathaniel Brown

Nate Brown is the Program Manager for the LifeLink CORE program at Bibb County Correctional Facility. Nate is a retired US Army Ranger Instructor and a retired US Post Office Post Master. Nate is uniquely qualified for his role due to his extensive experience of building men. Nate’s early life challenges growing up in Brooklyn, NY and being subjected to the overwhelming influences of street and gang life, prepared him for his life journey in the military and now in corrections. Nate has invested his time the past several years engaged in local inner-city community ministry which has provided him yet another perspective of brokenness. Nate and his wife also serve relentlessly in their church outreaches as well as providing veterans assistance and support in many forms.

Anthony Burns

Mike Burns is the Program Manager for the LifeLink CORE program at St. Clair Correctional Facility and the on-site Manager for Breakaway Pointe, LifeLink’s transition facility. Mike serves in a number of roles and may be the most uniquely qualified person on staff. Mike is able to relate to the population at St. Clair at levels no one else can. Mike served time at St. Clair with many of the men serving life sentences at this maximum-security institution. Mike also had a life sentence and they know who he was in his past and are now able to know the man he has become.

Mike prepares parole packets for men in our CORE program who have earned the privilege of CORE representation at their parole hearing. Mike has developed a respected and trusted relationship with the Alabama Bureau of Paroles & Pardons, having been one of the first graduates of CORE in 2016 and has subsequently proven his long-term commitment to living a beautiful life. Mike picks up our CORE graduates when they are released from prison and begins a “First 72-Hour” reentry process with each one. Mike selects graduates who qualify for transition to Breakaway Pointe and manages their employment and activities until they leave the facility.
